Springfield, Mass. - March 4, 2024 - Springfield College's Evan Weber (Purchase, N.Y.) has earned the opportunity to compete against the nation's best as he qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held on March 8-9 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

For Weber, this marks his first time competing on the national stage as an individual, as he has previously competed twice at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships as part of the Pride's 4x100 relay.  In his senior campaign, the Movement and Sports Studies qualified to race in the 200 meters and is seeded 14th among the 20 student-athletes in the race.  One of only two student-athletes from New England in the event, Weber's qualified for the national meet at last weekend's AARTFC Indoor Track & Field Championships where he posted a converted time of 21.61 (21.99).  Previously this season, Weber set the Springfield College program record in the event when he turned in a 21.68 at the New England Division III Championships.  At this week's NCAA Championships, Weber will race in the prelims of the 200 on Friday at 4:30 pm before the finals take place on Saturday at 5:30 pm.
