West Point, N.Y. - March 9, 2024 - The Springfield College men's gymnastics team put together a strong showing in a tri-meet with William & Mary and Army on Saturday afternoon. Springfield posted a team score of 393.350 and they were edged by host Army, who tallied a 393.400. William & Mary turned in a 387.250 to take third.
On the pommel horse,
Peyton Cramer (Grapevine, Texas) tied for third with a 13.000, while
Jaden Laubstein (Oakland, Calif.) tallied a 12.850 for fifth place.
Evan Reichert (Oswego, Ill.) posted a 14.000 to finish second on the floor exercise and
Felix Kriedemann (Strasslach, Germany) added a 13.650 as the duo led the Pride's efforts on the event. Cramer and
Sam Kaplan (Fairhaven, Mass.) each tallied 12.950's to tie for second on the rings, while
Matt Browne (Decatur, Ga.) tacked on a 12.850.
Kaplan had the Pride's best score on the parallel bars with a 13.450 and
Carter Cochardo (Cicero, N.Y.) stepped into the lineup and hit for an impressive 13.350.
Owen Carney (Sterling, Mass.) won the high bar after he was credited with a 13.400, while Kaplan earned a 13.050 for third and Kriedemann delivered a 12.850 for fourth as the Pride had a 64.750 on the event. Ending the day on the vault,
Dominic Ramalho (Hollis, N.H.) and Carney tied for third with a 14.350 to highlight a team effort that resulted in a 70.500.
Springfield will wrap up the regular season next Saturday when it hosts Army at 1 pm.
