Cramer Earns All-America Honors at NCAA National Collegiate Championships; Program Record Five Compete in Finals Session

Champaign, Ill. - April 18, 2026 - Five Springfield College men's gymnasts competed on the national stage at the NCAA National Collegiate Championships on Saturday at the University of Illinois. 

Peyton Cramer (Grapevine, Texas) earned NCAA All-America honors for the second time in his career following a fourth place finish on the pommel horse after posting a 13.966. Two seasons ago, Cramer was named an All-American following a fifth place finish at Ohio State. Prior 2024, the last time that a Springfield College student-athlete earned the national honor since Ryan Ponce took third on the rings at the University of Michigan in 2014. Tonight's performance caps off an incredible season as he earned ECAC All-Conference honors and won the USAG National Title on the pommel horse. The top eight in the country tonight included student-athletes from Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. 

Going into the night, it was the first time in Division III program history that five Springfield College student-athletes advanced to the Saturday session of the Championships. Joining Cramer was Owen Carney (Sterling, Mass.), Michael Dalton (Downers Grove, Ill.), Blaise Rousseau (Brecksville, Ohio) and Jacob Soederqvist (Stockholm, Sweden). Carney competed in the national finals for the fourth straight season and third time on the high bar as he scored an 11.833. In their first appearances in the finals, Dalton scored a 12.066 on the vault, Rousseau scored a 12.333 on the still rings, and Soederqvist amassed a total score of 72.898 in the all-around.
