Worcester, Mass. - October 25, 2025 - The Springfield College men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw at Clark University this morning in a NEWMAC match on Granger Field.
The Pride sit at 6-8-1 overall and 2-3-1 in conference play with seven points in the NEWMAC standings, while Clark is now 5-8-3, 1-4-2 with five points.
Parker Thornton (Malden, Mass.) scored the equalizer for Springfield while
Talan Bradley (South Kingstown, RI) registered the assist.
The Cougars scored in the 33rd minute when Shahmeer Waseem connected with Carter Benoff giving Clark an early 1-0 lead. Springfield, however, answered less than ten minutes later when Bradley found Thornton tying the score heading into the break.
The two teams combined for 20 shots in the second half, but neither team was able to gain the advantage with the keeper duo of
Noah Pote (Washington, Conn.) and Diego Martin preserving the draw. Pote ended with four stops for the Pride and Martin registered six stops for Clark.
Both teams were awarded four corner kicks in the 90 minute match.
The Pride will host Coast Guard on Wednesday at 7:00 pm in their final regular season home game of the season.
