Springfield, Mass. - November  1, 2025 - The Springfield College field hockey team beat New England Women's and Men's Athletics Conference (NEWMAC) opponent Clark, 4-0, to close out the regular season.

The Pride end the regular season at 12 wins overall and six in the conference which is the most since 2018. Springfield finished with an overall record of 12-6 and 6-3 in the conference while Clark finishes the season 10-9, 1-8. Hailey Gaydos (Newington, Conn.) scored two goals for the Pride while senior Sarah Healy (Niantic, Conn.) and Rachel Simkewicz (Westminster, Mass.) each scored a goal. Healy and Nicolette Morlock (Rexford, N.Y.) also tallied assists.

Prior to the start of the game, Springfield honored its five seniors in Healy, Morlock, Audrey Hayes (Holden, Mass.), Kaitlyn Parent (Glastonbury, Conn.), and Maya Wresien (Wallingford, Conn.). 

After a back-and-forth first quarter, Healy notched a goal after rebounding a ball from the goalkeeper and hitting it in. She has now scored in the three of the last four games. 

In the 40th minute, Morlock connected with Gaydos to put the Pride up by two before Gaydos deflected another one in from Healy just two minutes later. 

Simkewicz scored the final goal of the afternoon, after shooting one past the keeper to give the Pride a 4-0 win. 

Springfield led Clark 16-10 in shots and held a 6-5 edge in penalty corners. Parent had four saves in the win. 

The Pride will be the No. 4 seed and host Salve Regina in the first round of the NEWMAC Tournament on Tuesday, November 4 at 6:00 pm.
