Springfield, Mass. – November 14, 2025 – The Springfield College women's volleyball team has earned a spot in tomorrow's New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship semifinal match.

Women's volleyball (23-6), the third seed in this year's NEWMAC Championship, defeated sixth-seeded Emerson on Tuesday evening and will travel to MIT for a semifinal matchup with second-seeded Babson (21-6) on Saturday at 3:30 pm. In the earlier semifinal, top-seeded MIT will matchup with fifth-seeded Coast Guard at 1:00 pm with the winners of both contests meeting on Sunday at 1:00 pm for the NEWMAC title.

The NEWMAC encourages fans to purchase their mobile tickets in advance of the event to streamline the entry process on game day. Spectators may purchase their mobile tickets online on site but no cash option will be available. General admission tickets will cost $10 for anyone attending who is over the age of 12. Children under 12 and NEWMAC students with a valid institutional ID are free and do not need to purchase a mobile ticket.

Tickets will be scanned at the venue approximately 90 minutes prior to the start of each contest on Saturday afternoon.

Springfield and Babson will meet for the first time in the NEWMAC tournament since 2022. In that matchup that also took place at MIT, the Beavers came away with a three set victory over the Pride. Babson has won three of the previous four postseason meetings between the clubs with Springfield winning the semifinal contest at Babson in five sets in 2021.
