Williamstown, Mass. – November 15, 2025 – The Springfield College women's swimming and diving team fell to No. 8 Williams College and Wesleyan University (Conn.) in a double dual meet on Saturday afternoon. The Ephs defeated the Pride, 188-95, while the Cardinals took down the Pride, 224-73.
Springfield began the meet with a time of 2:05.76 swam by
Olivia Schwenger (Beacon Falls, Conn.),
Erica Kerner (Cherry Hill, N.J.),
Katherine Wade (Sturbridge, Mass.) and
Paige Levine (Holtsville, N.Y.).
Individually,
Lena Thompson (Bow, N.H.) had the best meet for the Pride placing third in the 200-free in 2:01.83, sixth in the 100-free in 56.98 and seventh in the 50-free in 26.07. Thompson also anchored Springfield's 400-free relay that also featured
Kylie Nordenstrom (Blaine, Minn.),
Lizzy McMahon (Rensselaer, N.Y.) and
Ally Burnett (Rochester, N.Y.) in a time of 4:00.13.
McMahon went on to clock a 1:03.08 in the 100-back and a 1:05.45 in the 100-fly, Nordenstrom posted an 11:46.98 in the 1000-free, a 1:03.19 in the 100-free and a 5:49.40 in the 500-free, while Burnett notched a 2:09.58 in the 200-free, a 1:08.94 in the 100-back and a 5:47.19 in the 500-free.
Schwenger finished right behind Thompson in the 50-free in 27.06, while Wade clocked a 2:43.73 in the 200-fly and a 1:11.21 in the 100-fly and Levine notched a 1:20.91 in the 100-breast, a 2:56.45 in the 200-breast and placed as the runner-up in the 200-IM in 2:29.83.
In the diving well,
Bridgette Hogan (Marshfield, Mass.) paced Springfield on the 1-meter board with a mark of 215.70 good enough for third place, while
Elizabeth Santos (Chicopee, Mass.) claimed first place honors on the 3-meter board with a score of 253.60.
Springfield will have a few weeks off before head to WPI for the Gompei Invitational to start December, while the divers will travel to RPI for the LGR Invitational the same weekend as their midway point to the 2025-26 season.
