Greenville, Ill. – February 1, 2025 – The Springfield College men's gymnastics team fell to Greenville in a dual meet, 308.350-301.250, on Saturday afternoon on the road.
Springfield won four of the six contested events on the day.
Will Wilson (Montgomery, Ala.) recorded a first place finish on the floor exercise with a score of 13.450,
Blaise Rousseau (Brecksville, Ohio) took first on the still rings with a score of 13.000,
Kaleb Palacio (Barcliff, Texas) won the vault with a score of 14.150 and
Owen Carney (Sterling, Mass.) won the high bar with a mark of 13.200.
Wilson went on to finish fourth on the still rings (12.400) and eighth on the vault (13.350), Rousseau went on to finish fourth on the parallel bar (12.450), while Palacio took third on the floor (13.200), third on the high bar (12.600) and sixth on the parallel bars (12.200).
Carney also registered a third place finish on the vault (13.800) and seventh on the floor (11.900).
Gio Mantia (Aurora, Ill.) led Springfield with a fifth place finish on the pommel horse with a mark of 12.700, while
Gustavin Suess (Portland, Ore.) rounded out the highlights for Springfield with a score of 12.550.
Springfield will next host William and Mary on February 16 at 1:00 pm.
