Framingham, Mass. – April 20, 2026 – Behind six strong innings on the bump from
Liam Skribiski-Banack (South Deerfield, Mass.), the Springfield College baseball team picked up a 5-2 non-conference win at Framingham State on Monday afternoon.
Springfield improved to 19-11 after today's contest.
Springfield produced just six hits, two of which came from
Chris Balchius (Norwalk, Conn.) at the top of the lineup.
Adam Crocker (Windsor, Nova Scotia) drove in two
and Luke Barone (Monroe, N.Y.) scored twice to highlight the Pride's offensive unit. Skribiski-Banack went six strong allowing just two hits and struck out six to pick up his second win of the spring.
Carter VanEtten (Palenville, N.Y.) earned the save out of the pen for the Pride.
Barone came across with Springfield's first run in the top of the fourth as he drew a two out walk before eventually scoring on a stolen base attempt by
Nate Garafalo (Kinderhook, N.Y.) as the ball sailed into the outfield.
A two-run single upped Springfield's lead to three in the sixth before Garafalo and
Jack Dunaisky (Longmeadow, Mass.) scored to make it 5-0 through six. The Rams got two back in the bottom of the seventh, but Springfield's pen of
Brock Goodwin (Orange, Conn.),
Brady Search (Collingswood, N.J.) and VanEtten quieted the Rams bats en route to the 5-2 final.
Springfield will host Babson College in a NEWMAC tilt tomorrow at 3:30 pm.
