Three From Men's Volleyball Named as AVCA Division III All-Americans

Springfield, Mass. – May 12, 2026 – Following capturing the program's 12th national championship title, three student-athletes from the Springfield College men's volleyball team were honored with All-America accolades from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

Senior setter Dylan Mulvaney (Reston, Va.) and junior middle blocker Brennan Cutter (Trumbull, Conn.) were named to the AVCA All-America First Team, while senior outside hitter Carter Durivage (East Greenbush, N.Y.) earned a spot on the AVCA All-America Second Team. As a program Springfield has seen 38 student-athletes garner 76 All-America honors since 2012, the most across the country in Division III.

This marks the fourth overall All-America selection and third First Team honor for Mulvaney as he is just the 16th in Division III men's volleyball history and fifth in Springfield program history to earn four All-America awards. Mulvaney joins Jarrett Anderson '23, Brennan Brandow '22, Greg Falcone '13 and Cal Palumbo '11 as four-time All-Americans at Springfield. Mulvaney is also just the 15th in Division III men's volleyball history and second in Springfield program history to earn a spot on the AVCA All-America First Team three times joining Luis Vega '17.

Durivage is now a two-time AVCA All-American after being named to the Second Team in 2025, while Cutter was honored for the first time in his collegiate career after a stellar junior season in 2026.

As a team, Springfield boasted the nation's best offense as the Pride hit at a .357 clip this spring. The Pride also ranked top-10 nationally in kills per set (12.75) and aces per set (2.01) and top-20 nationally in assists per set (11.77) and blocks per set (2.136). Individually, Mulvaney produced 10.10 assists per set, which ranked fifth in the country, while in the top-50, Durivage ranked 32nd nationally in hitting percentage .360 and Cutter ranked 41st in blocks per set .888.

In 91 sets this year, Mulvaney registered 919 assists becoming just the fourth student-athlete in program history to eclipse 3,000 career assists finishing with 3,446 for his career. This year alone, Mulvaney hit .452 with 41 kills, posted 130 digs and totaled 61 blocks. Mulvaney capped one of the greatest careers in program history with 139 kills, a hitting percentage of .426, 3,446 assists, 450 digs and 214 total blocks.

As a junior, Cutter had a breakout season setting career-highs in kills (171), hitting percentage (.493), assists (7), service aces (29), digs (33), total blocks (79) and points (246.5). Cutter was one of the most dominant middle blockers in all of Division III this season. In four NCAA Tournament games in 2026, Cutter hit .475 and produced nine kills against Buffalo State and seven against Cal Lutheran.

Durivage, now a two-time Second Team All-American, had a standout senior campaign as he registered career highs in kills (257), assists (6), digs (87), total blocks (29) and total points (283). In 84 sets this year, Durivage hit .360 as one of Springfield's top outside hitters. Durivage registered double-digit kill totals in three of four NCAA Tournament games including 16 against Buffalo State and 11 against both New Paltz and Carthage and hit .494 in 14 postseason sets.
