Chris Vayda of the men's cross country team has been named the Springfield College Maroon Club Student-Athlete of the Week.

Vayda guided the Pride to a fourth-place finish as a team at the 2024 James Earley Invitational. Individually, he crossed the finish line 12th overall in the field of 187 runners with a time of 26:46.02 and was the fastest student-athlete from the NEWMAC in the field.
