Elina Olmedo of the women's cross country team has been named the Springfield College Maroon Club Student-Athlete of the Week.

Thanks to her efforts, Springfield's sixth place finish at the NEWMAC Championships was its highest since 2011. In Saturday's race, she paced Springfield with a time of 23:05.0 as she crossed the finish line 21st overall.
