Springfield, Mass. - April 16, 2015 - The Springfield College golf team competed in the Western New England Invitational on Thursday afternoon at Veterans Golf Course.
Playing on the Par 72, 6,433 yard course, the Pride totaled 367 strokes to finish 10th out of 11 teams in the competition. Host Western New England claimed first (308), followed by Endicott (313) and Elms (319).
Travis Price (Reading, Mass.) led the way for Springfield as he shot an 86 on the day, while classmate Greg Allen (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) tallied an 89. Joe Dean (Madison, Conn.) finished the afternoon with a 92 and Matty Simmons (Wethersfield, Conn.) and Wesley Doolan rounded out the scoring for Springfield after tallying scores of 100 and 133.
