Troy, N.Y. – October 7, 2025 – The Springfield College men's golf team finished 11th overall at the 2025 RPI Invitational held at Shaker Ridge Golf Club.
As a team, Springfield produced a score of 631 (+63) and was led by first-year
Ryan Wood (Foxboro, Mass.), who individually finished tied for 39th. Swarthmore won the meet and was followed by NYU, Bishop University, Farmingdale State and RPI.
Wood tallied a two day score of +15 with a pair of birdies in round one and a birdie on hole 13 in round two.
Matthew Kumpulanian (Wilbraham, Mass.) finished one stroke behind Wood for 41st in the field as he notched a birdie on hole six in round one and 11 pars in round two.
Amir Ardolino (Wilbraham, Mass.) finished 46th with a score of +18 and registered 20 total pars across 36 holes, while
Justin Acquarulo (Branford, Conn.) finished 50th with a +19 as he posted a birdie on hole 13 during his second round of action.
David Girouard (Chicopee, Mass.) rounded out the scores for Springfield with a +20 for 55th overall as he notched a birdie on hole seven in round two and 25 total pars on the weekend.
Springfield will travel back to New York on Friday for the Skidmore Fall Invitational at Saratoga Spa Golf Course.
