Brewster, Mass. – October 21, 2025 – The Springfield College men's golf team wrapped up its 2025 fall season with a 12th place finish at the NEIGA Championship over the weekend. The Pride played at The Captain's Golf Club and produced a two-day score of 631 strokes.

David Girouard (Chicopee, Mass.) led Springfield with a 31st place finish (+11) in the field of 119 student-athletes as he produced a round one score of 75 with a pair of birdies and 11 pars and a round two score of 80 with a trio of birdies. Girouard went one under on the back nine in his first round of the weekend.

Right behind Girouard was Matthew Kumpulanian (Wilbraham, Mass.), who tied for 43rd with a score of (+14). Kumpulanian matched his two rounds with 79's on both days as he notched a birdie on hole 16 in round one and a pair of birdies in round two.

Aidan Strebel (Branford, Conn.) notched a score of +15 as he notched an 81 in round one and bettered it by three strokes for a 78 in round two ultimately finishing tied for 49th. Ryan Wood (Foxboro, Mass.) matched Strebel's +15 with an 83 in round one and a 76 in round two. 

Shane DeFilipi (Agawam, Mass.) rounded out the weekend with a score of +25 tying him for 92nd with an 83 in round one and an 86 in round two. In the first round, DeFilipi produced a birdie on hole 13.
