Springfield, Mass. - October 6, 2019 - The Springfield College women's tennis team was defeated by Endicott College, 7-2, on Sunday afternoon at Appleton Courts in non-conference play.
Springfield's Rachel Ahlmeyer (Morris Plains, N.J.) and Veronia Fulgeri (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) earned an 8-2 victory at the No. 2 spot for the Pride's lone point in doubles play. Endicott would win five the six singles bouts, with Rielly Malz (Glastonbury, Conn.) prevailing by a 6-4, 6-4 decision at No. 2. Cara Freadman (Richmond, Mass.) battled touch at the top spot for Springfield before falling 4-6, 6-4, 10-4.
On Wednesday, Springfield will compete for the final time at home this semester when it hosts Salve Regina at 3:00 pm.
