Dudley, Mass. - October 7, 2021 - In their first appearance of the 2021-22 campaign, the Springfield College men's tennis team was defeated by Nichols, 9-0, on Thursday afternoon on Robinson Tennis Courts.

The Bison took all three doubles matches by 8-3 decisions to open up a 3-0 advantage heading into singles play.  Mike Kendrick (Watervliet, N.Y.) had a strong showing in his return to the Springfield lineup as he dropped a 6-3, 6-4 setback at the No. 3 position, while Lucas Van Deventer (Ellington, Conn.) was defeated by a 6-2, 6-3 margin at the No. 6 spot.
