Springfield, Mass. January 30, 2022 - For the first time in 693 days, the Springfield College men's gymnastics team hosted a dual meet in Blake Arena on Sunday and the Pride was edged by visiting Army, 382.850-378.900. Dominic Ramalho (Hollis, N.H.) claimed first-place in the all-around as he turned in a 76.800 to help the Pride to its best team score of the season thus far.
Charles Kramer (Minnetrista, Minn.) finished second on the floor with a team-best mark of 13.400, while Timothy Templeton (Maynard, Mass.) produced a 13.150 to take third and Andrae Butler (Taunton, Mass.) placed fourth with a 13.100.
On the pommel horse, Juan Gomez (Tallahassee, Fla.) was credited with a 13.000 as he finished as the runner-up on the event, while Colton O'Brien (Crystal Lake, Ill.) recorded a 12.600 to tie for third.
Noah Dhaliwal (South Orange, N.J.) had a tremendous showing on the rings, hitting for a 13.750 to take second on apparatus, while Ramalho and Gomez tied for fourth following scores of 13.100. Moving to the vault, Springfield put up a team score of 69.750 that was bolstered by Ramalho's winning score of 14.300. Butler added a 14.200 to finish second and Ray Bridges (McDonough, Ga.) hit for a 13.950 to tie for fifth.
Ramalho was the Pride's top scorer on the parallel bars with a 13.200 and Kyle Lukaesko (Connellsville, Pa.) concluded the meet in impressive fashion by winning the horizontal bar with a mark of 13.150.
The Pride will now train to prepare for their next competition on February 20 against Navy.
