Box Score 2 Springfield, Mass. - March 26, 2022 - The Springfield College men's volleyball team picked up two more straight-set victories on Saturday afternoon with wins over SUNY Poly and Eastern Nazarene.
The top-ranked team in Division III in this week's AVCA Division III National Poll, Springfield is now 22-1 on the year.
Springfield will host New Paltz on Wednesday at 6 pm.

Springfield 3, SUNY Poly 0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-20)
Springfield kicked off the day with a straight-set victory as Brennen Brandow (Manorville, N.Y.) totaled 12 killst at a .688 clip to go along with four digs and three aces. Jarrett Anderson (San Jose, Calif.) added nine kills and four blocks, Johjan Mussa Robles (Caguas, Puerto Rico) notched 11 digs, and Chris Parker (East Northport, N.Y.) tallied five blocks.
The Pride called for an early timeout at 5-2 in the first following a Wildcats ace down the line, but would force the visitors into a timeout of their own at 10-9 after Nate Reynolds (Baltimore, Md.) put away an overpass. Springfield would open up a 14-10 lead after back-to-back aces by Brandow and Anderson cranked a kill in system at 25-20 to give the Pride a first-set win as it totaled 15 kills at a .400 clip.
Springfield's block was the difference in the second set as it had eight block assists, with three coming from Parker. An ace by Giancarlo Carrion (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) allowed the Pride's lead to grow to 17-11 and Reynolds finished off a long rally with the Pride's 12th kill of the set in a 25-16 win.
Neither team was able to get much offense going in the third, as Springfield again relied on its block, getting 10 block assists with three from Anderson, as it held SUNY Poly to a -.080 hitting percentage in a 25-20 win.
Springfield 3, Eastern Nazarene 0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-18)
The Pride hit at a .509 clip in its second match of the day as six different student-athletes had at least four kills. Jarrett Anderson tallied seven kills on a .778 hitting percentage and ripped three of the Pride's 11 aces, while Matt Lilley (Stony Brook, N.Y.) produced three blocks and 20 assists.
Springfield tallied 15 kills on a .650 hitting percentage in the opening set, with Brandow and Anderson each putting away four kills. The visitors called for a timeout at 12-7 when Brandow blistered a ball out of the back row and Nate Reynolds bounced a ball at 21-13 to bring the crowd to its feet. The Pride would coast to a 25-16 win, with Brandow sealing the win with his fourth kill of the night.
The Pride held ENU to a -.048 hitting percentage in the second while hitting .579 itself and stormed out to a 10-4 lead. A big swing from Anderson in system gave Springfield a 14-7 cushion, and behind strong serving from Lilley down the stretch, the Pride took a 25-13 win.
With a new lineup in the third, Springfield bounced back from an early 9-6 hole as it went on a 6-1 run capped off by a kill from Chris Rouleau (Bay Shore, N.Y.). Springfield would push its lead to 19-14 on another ace from Carrion and the lead would grow to 24-17 when Ryan Roller (West Hartford, Conn.) connected on his second-consecutive ace. Eastern Naz' seventh service error of the set completed the 25-18 win for Springfield.
