Ramalho Represents Springfield College In NCAA National College Men's Gymnastics Championships

Norman, Okla. - April 16, 2022 - The Springfield College men's gymnastics program's historic season came to a close on Saturday as Dominic Ramalho (Hollis, N.H.) was one of 16 student-athletes from across the country to compete in the all-around competition in the finals of NCAA National Collegiate Championships at the University of Oklahoma on Saturday.

A day removed from becoming the first Division III program to ever compete in the NCAA National Collegiate Championships as a team, Springfield was represented in the finals by Ramalho, as he was just the second Springfield College men's gymnast in program history to advance to the second day of competition in the all-around after pulling together a 76.298 on Friday. Ramahlo is just the fifth Division III student-athlete in the last eight years to move on to the final day of the championships.

The Health Science major's day was highlighted by a 13.333 on the parallel bars en route to taking 26th, while he added 14.133 on the vault as he finished 27th in the event.  The junior was credited with a 13.000 on the floor and delivered a 12.533 on the still rings. He also registered an 11.833 on the horizontal bar and 11.433 on the pommel horse.
