West Point, N.Y. - January 14, 2024 - Springfield College first-year
Peyton Cramer (Grapevine, Texas) delivered a historic performance to highlight the Pride's efforts in the individual finals of the West Point Open on Saturday.
Cramer became just the second Springfield College men's gymnast dating back to 1992 to win an individual title at the West Point Open, joining Ryan Ponce who claimed first on the rings in 2013. After producing a 14.700 on Friday night, Cramer notched a 13.900 on Saturday to claim first-place honors.
Felix Kriedemann (Strasslach, Germany) had a strong showing on the high bar as he placed fifith with a 12.200, while the Pride had a pair of eighth-place finishes in
Evan Reichert (Oswego, Ill.) on the floor exercise with a 10.45 and
Gustavin Suess (Portland, Ore.) on the still rings after he posted a 12.300.
Dylan Colangelo (Youngstown, Ohio) was credited with a 12.400 on the vault, and
Sam Kaplan (Fairhaven, Mass.) added a 12.75 on the parallel bars and an 11.1 on the still rings.
Next weekend, Springfield will travel to the Navy Open.
