Bristol, R.I. – December 13, 2024 - Springfield College wrestling head coach Jason Holder earned his 150th dual meet win on Alden Street and 164th of his career as the Pride defeated Roger Williams University by a 34-17 final on Friday evening on the road.

Holder is the third coach in program history to obtain 150 victories at Springfield College joining Doug Parker (472-154-11) and Daryl Arroyo (301-160-6). Springfield is now 5-0 in dual meets this season and have won seven straight duals dating back to last year.

Lucien Perla (Stow, Mass.) got the dual started at 157 with a major decision, 13-3, over Gordon Murray for a 4-0 lead. Roger Williams then used a pin at 165 for a 6-4 edge, but Jacob Deguire (Schenectady, N.Y.) and Myles Leonard (Walwick, N.J.) pinned their opponents at 174 and 184 in 6:26 and 0:55, respectively for a 16-6 advantage.

Roger Williams got six points back at 197 due to a medical forfeit, but Springfield scored in four of the final five bouts of the night to account for the 34-17 final. Ben Katz (Medford, N.Y.) picked an 11-5 decision at 285, Jack Callahan (Tewksbury, Mass.) pinned Zach Henault in 2:32 at 125, Jaden Colwell (Lords Valley, Pa.)pinned Maceo Eramo in 2:19 at 133 and Ryan Kozdra (Mahwah, N.J.) earned a 7-4 decision at 141.
 
Springfield will return to Roger Williams for the Scott Viera Invitational tomorrow at 9:00 am.
