Troy, N.Y. – December 8, 2024 - Elizabeth Santos (Chicopee, Mass.) guided Springfield College at this weekend's RPI LGR Invtiational as the top finisher for the Pride in both disciplines.
On Saturday, the Pride competed on the 3-meter board and had seven student-athletes represented in the competition. Both Santos and
Annabel Culbreth-Loomis (Pelham, Mass.) highlighted the action with NCAA diving regional qualifying scores. Santos took second place with a score of 443.85 only behind Ella Simpson of host RPI (456.45), while Culbreth-Loomis registered a third place finish and 415.60 points to secure a spot at diving regionals in March.
Bridgette Hogan (Marshfield, Mass.) notched 396.26 points for fourth,
Grace Baker (Ellington, Conn.) posted 362.25 points for seventh,
Olivia Dragon (Wilbraham, Mass.) tallied 353.25 points for eighth,
McKenzie Aparo (Bristol, Conn.) posted 317.45 points for 11th and
Sophia Bellocco (East Meadow, N.Y.) notched 211.30 points for 13th place.
On Sunday, Santos took fifth place on the 1-meter board with a score of 448.10, while Culbreth-Loomis finished seventh with 446.10 points both above the NCAA diving regional qualification standard. Aparo took 11th with 372.15 points, Bake finished 12th with 368.60 points, Hogan took 13th with 367.00 points, Dragon finished 17th with 320.25 points and Bellocco took 19th with 264.90 points.
Springfield will return to dual meet action on January 11 at Union College.
