Springfield, Mass. - February 29, 2024 - The Western Massachusetts Baseball Hall of Fame has announced the 11th annual class to be inducted on March 7, 2024 at Twin Hills Country Club and Springfield College head baseball coach
Mark Simeone will be among the five individuals who will be honored.
Entering his 28th season as the head coach at Springfield College's, Simeone has compiled 498 victories during his tenure. He grew up in Northampton, graduating from Northampton High School in 1982. In addition to coaching at Springfield College, Simeone played outfield from 1982-87 and becomes the third Springfield College baseball coach inducted in the Western Massachusetts Baseball Hall of Fame, joining his former head coach Charles Roys as well as Archie Allen.
Prior to his arrival on Alden Street, Simeone was the head coach of American International College, a Division II program in Springfield, Mass., from 1993-1996. He has been named the NEWMAC Coach of the Year three times, most recently in 2022.
The 2024 induction ceremony and banquet will take place on Thursday, March 7th at 6:00 p.m. at Twin Hills Country Club. Individual tickets are $65 per person and tables of eight can be purchased for $450 total.
