Springfield College Student-Athletes Impress With 3.53 Grade Point Average In Spring Semester

Springfield, Mass. - May 30, 2024 - Springfield College's student-athletes delivered one of the best academic efforts in the history of the institution to close out the 2023-24 academic year.

The Pride's nearly 650 student-athletes earned a 3.533 grade point average this semester, which is the highest in-person grade point average that has been achieved.  The only higher GPA took place in the spring semester of 2020 in a hybrid format due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when Springfield's student-athletes posted a 3.544.

This spring, 11 different Springfield College programs had a semester GPA above a 3.6 and an incredible 86.9% of Springfield student-athletes — 554 of 637— produced a 3.0 GPA or better.  A total of 117 earned perfect 4.0 GPA's, another 285 delivered a spring GPA between 3.5 and 3.99, while 152 more had between 3.0 and 3.49.

The field hockey team had the top team GPA among women's programs with an incredible mark of 3.811, while on the men's side, the men's volleyball team earned a 3.643 team grade point average.
