Box Score Cambridge, Mass. – October 4, 2025 – Six student-athletes from the Springfield College men's tennis team competed at this weekend's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships on the campus of Tufts University and MIT.

In the main singles draw, Angelo Guzman (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) fell to seeded Adam Sun of MIT, 6-2, 6-3, while Ethan Gomulka (San Bernardino, Calif.) fell to Maxim Zlobinsky of Babson, 6-1, 6-0.

In the main doubles draw, Tim Norin (Stockholm, Sweden) and Liam Huppke (Markham, Canada) were edged by Muaz Malik and Ben Kotzen of Brandeis, 8-2.

Both Akito Shimamura (Hirono, Japan) and Phakin Thongbooncharoen (Bangkok, Thailand) fell in the "B" singles bracket as Shimamura dropped an 8-4 decision to Antonio Lee of Colby College, while Thongbooncharoen dropped an 8-3 decision to Dylan O'Connell-De Cerchio of Babson.

Springfield will host Western New England in non-conference play on Thursday at 3:30 pm.
