Tickets on Sale For Saturday's NEWMAC Women's Soccer Championship Match

Springfield, Mass. – November 7, 2025 – The Springfield College women's soccer team and No. 8 nationally-ranked MIT will meet in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship title match for the eighth time on Saturday afternoon at Steinbrenner Stadium MIT's campus in Cambridge.

Springfield (11-8) advanced to Saturday's championship final following a thrilling 3-2 win over sixth-seeded WPI last night, while MIT (19-2-1) did the same after a 3-0 shutout over fifth-seeded Wheaton. Kickoff on Saturday in Cambridge is set for 1:00 pm. The Pride will be looking for their eighth NEWMAC Championship title in program history and first since 2015.

The NEWMAC encourages fans to purchase their mobile tickets in advance of the event to streamline the entry process on game day. Spectators may purchase their mobile tickets online on site but no cash option will be available. General admission tickets will cost $10 for anyone attending who is over the age of 12. Children under 12 and NEWMAC students with a valid institutional ID are free and do not need to purchase a mobile ticket.

Tickets will be scanned at the venue approximately 90 minutes prior to the start of Saturday's championship match in Cambridge.

Springfield is appearing in its first NEWMAC title game since 2021 and has not claimed a conference championship since besting MIT in penalty kicks in 2015. In the series between MIT and Springfield in the conference finals, the Engineers are 4-0-3, but the Pride won two titles via penalty kicks in 2013 and 2015 both in Cambridge.

Springfield's offense is sparked by Kaitlyn Suller (Oviedo, Fla.) and Meredith Healy (Niantic, Conn.), who both have eight goals on the season, while first-years Katie McFerran (Selkirk, N.Y.) and Jessica Perry (Middleboro, Mass.) have chipped in with four goals apiece. Mallory Forgatch (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.)And Mairead Marsden (Amsterdam, N.Y.) have split the season in goal combining for 126 saves and a trio of shutouts.

MIT, meanwhile, has three goal scorers in double figures headlined by Natalie Barnouw with 49 points (18 goals and 13 assists). Madeline Seebeck and Maeve Sullivan have identical stat lines with ten goals and two assists for 22 points. MIT's potent offense has tallied 75 goals and 51 assists on the year for 201 points compared to Springfield's 40 goals and 33 assists for 113 points.

MIT also has a strong defensive core as goalkeeper Ava Muffoletto has a record of 16-0 and has allowed just two goals in of span of nearly 985 minutes. As a team, the Engineers have pitched 17 shutouts and have allowed just one goal to conference opponents this year in 13 total contests.

The winner of Saturday's NEWMAC Championship will earn the league's automatic berth to the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship Tournament with the full bracket set to be revealed on Monday at 11:00 am on NCAA.com.
