Worcester, Mass. – February 20, 2025 – The Springfield College women's swimming and diving team opened competition at the 2025 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships held at WPI.
Through tonight's first session, Springfield sits in fourth place with 48 points. Ahead of the Pride is MIT (70), Wheaton (60) and Coast Guard (56).
Springfield's "A" 800 free relay squad of
Natalie Norbut (Bristol, Conn.),
Natalie Chamberlin (Ellington, Conn.),
Emma Savoie (Milford, Conn.) and
Korryn Cartwright (Seekonk, Mass.) produced a fourth place finish with a time of 7:53.36. The "B" 800 free relay quartet of
Paige Levine (Holtsville, N.Y.),
Kylie Nordenstrom (Blaine, Minn.),
Ally Burnett (Rochester, N.Y.) and
Sarah Champagne (Wilbraham, Mass.) finished 16th overall in 8:19.45.
Springfield will return to the pool tomorrow morning for day two of the 2025 NEWMAC Championships. Preliminary events featured in tomorrow's session include the 200-free relay, 500-free, 200-IM, 50-free, 400-medley relay and the women's 1-meter dive. Action is slated to begin at 10:00 am from WPI.
