DeFosse Earns All-America Honors in 60-Meter Hurdles to Cap NCAA Indoor Championships

Rochester, NY – March 15, 2025 – Springfield College sophomore Katherine DeFosse (Worcester, Mass.)claimed All-America honors for the first time in her career to cap the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships on Saturday at Nazareth University.

DeFosse held her seed and finished seventh overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.90. The sophomore posted a time of 8.71 just one-tenth of a second off her school record and entry time yesterday and then reached the podium for the first time in her career this afternoon. DeFosse is the first NCAA Indoor All-American for the Springfield College women's track and field team since 2022 when Chloe Dewhurst reached the podium in the high jump.

Senior Samantha Paul (Albany, N.Y.) capped her final indoor season with a 13th place in the triple jump with a personal best leap of 11.90-meters to take home Second Team All-America accolades.

Springfield will open the outdoor season on March 29 at the Corsair Classic on the campus of UMass Dartmouth.
