Indianapolis, Ind. – April 9, 2025 – Eleven Springfield College student-athletes have individually qualified for the 2025 NCAA National Collegiate Men's Gymnastics Championships slated for April 18 and 19 at the Crisler Center on the campus of the University of Michigan.
Three teams and the top three all-around competitors not on one of the qualifying teams, plus the top three individuals on each event not already qualified on a team or as an all-around competitor, will advance from each pre-qualifying session to the finals session. Finals competition will take place April 19.
Kaleb Palacio (Barcliff, Texas) will represent Springfield in the All-Around competition after becoming the first student-athlete to win the floor competition at the ECAC Championships last weekend. Palacio produced a season-high score in the All-Around on March 1 at Navy with a 77.700.
Owen Carney (Sterling, Mass.),
Will Wilson (Montgomery, Ala.), Evan Reichert (Oswego, Ill.), Devon Felsenstein (Blue Bell, Pa.) and
Blaise Rousseau (Brecksville, Ohio) will compete in two different events while at the National Championship meet next weekend as Carney, who was also selected as an alternate on the vault, will compete on the floor and the horizontal bar, Wilson will compete on the floor and rings, Reichert will compete on the floor and the vault, Felsenstein will compete on the pommel horse and the parallel bars and Rousseau will compete on the rings and parallel bars.
Additionally,
Gio Mantia (Aurora, Ill.) will represent Springfield on the pommel horse.
Felix Kriedemann (Strasslach, Germany) was selected to compete on the horizontal bar as well as an alternate on the pommel horse.
Gustavin Suess (Portland, Ore.) – on the still rings,
Carter Cochardo (Cicero, N.Y.) – on the parallel bars, and
Jaden Laubstein (Oakland, Calif.) – on the horizontal bars, were all selected as alternates in their respective events.
Championship qualifiers will air on ESPN+ on April 18. Session I will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern time and Session II will air at 7 p.m. Eastern time. The championship finals will air on ESPN 2 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time on April 19.
