Oneonta, NY – January 10, 2026 – The Springfield College women's swimming and diving team fell to Hartwick College and Union College in a double dual on Saturday afternoon on the road.
Springfield was clipped by Union College, 170-124, and Hartwick, 192-106.
Lizzy McMahon (Rensselaer, N.Y.),
Natalie Norbut (Bristol, Conn.),
Emma Savoie (Milford, Conn.) and
Kiana Riera (Cranford, N.J.) began the day with a third place finish in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:58.50.
McMahon was the lone individual swimmer to produce a win for the Pride as she touched the wall first in the 100-back in 1:04.23. McMahon also took fourth in the 200-back in 2:23.97 and teamed up with Norbut, Riera and
Paige Levine (Holtsville, N.Y.) for third in the 400-free relay in 3:59.45.
Norbut went on to place third in the 100-breast in 1:15.39 and sixth in the 200-free in 2:08.68, Levine placed third in the 500-free in 5:43.40 and fourth in the 1000-free in 11:51.68 and Riera took fifth in the 50-free in 28.17 and sixth in the 100-free in 1:00.15. Savoie also placed sixth in the 100-fly in 1:06.60.
Ally Burnett (Rochester, N.Y.) paced Springfield in the 1000-free with a runner-up finish in 11:50.47 and was followed by
Kylie Nordenstrom (Blaine, Minn.) in 11:51.44. Burnett also claimed third in the 500-free in 5:46.85.
Avery Van Tassel (Bay Shore, N.Y.) tallied a pair of third place finishes in the 200-breast in 2:42.32 and the 200-IM in 2:26.07, while
Erica Kerner (Cherry Hill, N.J.) rounded out the highlights on the swimming side of the meet with a fifth place finish in the 200-fly in 2:34.86.
In the diving well, Springfield went 1-2-3 on both boards.
Bridgette Hogan (Marshfield, Mass.) and
Elizabeth Santos (Chicopee, Mass.) traded first place finishes as Hogan took first on the 3-meter board with a score of 264.50, while Santos took first on the 1-meter board with a score of 245.00. Santos was the runner-up on the 3-meter board (242.73) and Hogan was the runner-up on the 1-meter board (236.55).
McKenzie Aparo (Bristol, Conn.) took third on the 3-meter board with a score of 222.10 and fourth on the 1-meter board with a score of 209.75.
Springfield will return home for a dual with Middlebury College next Saturday at noon.
