Springfield, Mass. – January 17, 2026 – The Springfield College women's swimming and diving team fell to Middlebury College, 219-76, in a dual meet held inside the Art Linkletter Natatorium on Saturday afternoon.
Lizzy McMahon (Rensselaer, N.Y.) produced the best individual finish in the swimming side of the meet this afternoon for the Pride as she took second in the 500-free in 5:34.08. McMahon also tallied fourth place finishes in both the 200-free in 2:04.27 and the 100-free in 59.49.
McMahon teamed up with
Natalie Norbut (Bristol, Conn.),
Emma Savoie (Milford, Conn.) and
Kianna Riera (Cranford, N.J.) for fourth in the 200-free relay in a time of 1:47.34, while
Ally Burnett (Rochester, N.Y.),
Erica Kerner (Cherry Hill, N.J.),
Paige Levine (Holtsville, N.Y.) and Riera came in fourth in the 200-medley relay in 2:04.75.
Norbut was Springfield's fastest swimmer in the 200-breast (2:46.85), the 100-breast (1:16.45) and 50-free (27.21), while Savoie was Springfield's fastest swimmer in the 100-back (1:05.04), 200-back (2:22.08) and 100-fly (1:05.73). Kerner led Springfield in the 200-fly in 2:36.76, while
Avery Van Tassel (Bay Shore, N.Y.) registered a third place finish in the 1000-free in 12:00.52 and also clocked a 2:31.22 in the 200-IM and a 1:17.09 in the 100-breast to round out the swimming highlights today.
In the diving well,
Elizabeth Santos (Chicopee, Mass.) swept both boards with a 1-meter score of 258.30 and a 3-meter score of 236.33. Santos eclipsed the NCAA regional qualifying standard on the 1-meter board.
Bridgette Hogan (Marshfield, Mass.) finished second on the 3-meter board (230.78) and third on the 1-meter board (228.45), while
McKenzie Aparo (Bristol, Conn.) came in second on the 1-meter board (228.90) and third on the 3-meter board (207.52).
Springfield will travel to Amherst for a dual on Friday at 5:30pm as the Pride have three meets to go before the 2026 NEWMAC Championships.
