Cambridge, Mass. – February 19, 2026 – The Springfield College women's swimming and diving team capped off the first day of the 2026 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships in the 800 Free Relay on Thursday night inside the Zesiger Sports & Fitness Center Pool.
Springfield sits in eighth place in the standings with 36 points as the pack is led by MIT with 70 points, Wheaton College in second with 58 points and Coast Guard and Babson College tied for third with 52 points.
Springfield's "A" relay comprised of
Natalie Norbut (Bristol, Conn.),
Emma Savoie (Milford, Conn.),
Ally Burnett (Rochester, N.Y.) and
Lizzy McMahon (Rensselaer, N.Y.) clocked a time of 8:06.24 for eighth place in the championship finals, while the "B" relay comprised of
Avery Van Tassel (Bay Shore, N.Y.),
Paige Levine (Holtsville, N.Y.),
Erica Kerner (Cherry Hill, N.J.) and
Kylie Nordenstrom (Blaine, Minn.) clocked a time of 8:27.13 for 18th overall and eighth in the consolation finals this evening.
Springfield will return to the pool tomorrow morning for the 200-free relay, 500-free, 200-IM, 50-free, 400-medley relay and 1-meter diving.
