Cortland, N.Y. – February 21, 2026 – The Springfield College women's gymnastics team produced a team score of 186.750 and finished third overall at a quad meet held at Cortland on Saturday afternoon.
The host Red Dragons won the meet with a team score of 190.700, Ithaca finished second with 188.000 points, Springfield took third with 186.400 and Utica finished fourth with 186.200 points.
Scarlette Ayakawa (Coppell, Texas) claimed first on the balance beam with a score of 9.675 leading Springfield to a total score of 47.025 in the event this afternoon.
Abby Walters (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and Brooke Ginter (East Berlin, Pa.) tied for seventh with marks of 9.450, while
Sage Kaplan (Auburn, Mass.)recorded a 9.250.
Kora Donley (New Orleans, La.) paced Springfield on the floor with a 9.675 for sixth place, while
Stacy Taylor (Biddeford, Maine) and Walters produced marks of 9.450 and 9.375, respectfully, for the Pride.
Emma Skowronek (West Chester, Pa.) and
Nicolette Giogas (Burlington, Mass.) tied for sixth on the uneven bars with duplicate scores of 9.425, while Taylor led Springfield with a 9.575 for eighth on the vault. Kaplan notched a 9.500 and Donley posted a 9.475 to round out the highlights this afternoon.
Springfield will return to New York for a tri-meet at Utica University alongside Rhode Island College on March 1. This will be the final regular season meet for Springfield prior to the NCGA East Regional Championships on March 7.
