Providence, RI - March 7, 2026 - The Springfield College women's gymnastics team registered its second highest team score of the season at the (National Collegiate Gymnastics Association) NCGA East Regional Championships on Saturday afternoon.
Brockport won the meet with 193.675 points and was followed by Cortland (193.000), RIC (192.200), Ursinus (191.700), Ithaca (191.300), Utica (189.100) and Springfield (189.050).
Scarlette Ayakawa (Coppell, Texas) and Sage Kaplan (Auburn, Mass.) led the Pride with podium finishes in their respective events.
Stacy Taylor (Biddeford, Maine) paced the Pride on the vault with a 9.475 and Kaplan scored a 9.425. Emma Skowronek (West Chester, Pa.) tied for 15th on the uneven bars with a 9.575 and Liz Lehan (Norton, Mass.) finished with a score of 9.450.
Ayakawa tied for third on the beam with a career-high score of 9.775 while Taylor Fewins (Sparks, Nev.) tied for 15th with a score of 9.650.
Julia Reer (Cedar Grove, N.J.), Kora Donley (New Orleans, La.) and Taylor led the Pride on the floor as all three registered a 9.675
Kaplan was the lone Springfield competitor in the All-Around, tying for fourth with a career-high 37.800.
Springfield is awaiting a possible nationals bid for select individuals tomorrow.
