Springfield, Mass. – February 7, 2026 – The Springfield College women's swimming and diving team fell to Babson College, 169-120, in its final dual meet of the season on Saturday morning in Art Linkletter Natatorium.
In total, Springfield won six different events including four on the swimming side of the meet and both diving disciples.
Lizzy McMahon (Rensselaer, N.Y.) highlighted the meet with first place finishes in both the 100-back in 1:02.45 and the 500-free in 5:32.94. McMahon also was the leadoff swimmer for the 400-medley relay which finished third in 4:21.65 as the first-year teamed up with
Natalie Norbut (Bristol, Conn.),
Emma Savoie (Milford, Conn.) and
Kianna Riera (Cranford, N.J.) in the meet's initial event.
Savoie individually went on to win the 100-breast in 1:14.38 and take second in the 200-breast in 2:42.26. She also was the leadoff swimmer for the 400-free relay alongside
Ally Burnett (Rochester, N.Y.),
Paige Levine (Holstville, N.Y.) and
Katherine Wade (Sturbridge, Mass.) that took third in 4:01.65.
Burnett clocked an 11:45.56 for second in the 1000-free and took fourth in the 100-back in 1:09.34 and the 200-back in 2:27.57, while Levine placed fourth in the 200-IM in 2:31.63 and Wade finished third in the 200-fly in 2:42.71. Riera also went on to finish fourth in the 100-free in 59.65.
Erica Kerner (Cherry Hill, N.J.) recorded a first place finish in the 200-fly in 2:24.06, a third place finish in the 200-breast in 2:42.94 and a fourth place finish in the 100-fly in 1:07.25, while Norbut clocked a third place finish in the 50-free in 26.67 to round out the highlights in the pool.
In the diving well,
Elizabeth Santos (Chicopee, Mass.) swept both boards with NCAA regional qualifying scores of 423.38 on the 3-meter board and 430.66 on the 1-meter board.
Bridgette Hogan (Marshfield, Mass.) and
McKenzie Aparo (Bristol, Conn.) also notched 11 dive regional qualifying scores on both boards this afternoon. Hogan notched a 426.24 on the 1-meter board and a 411.97 on the 3-meter board, while Aparo hit a 410.79 on the 3-meter board and a 401.86 on the 1-meter board.
