Springfield, Mass. - March 6, 2026 - After being named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday, Springfield College men's lacrosse senior Ian Cote (Lake Stevens, Wash.) has been named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Team of the Week. 

Cote helped lead Springfield to a thrilling 9-8 win against Union on Thursday after making a career-high 20 saves, with a .714 save percentage for the Pride. Cote was also credited with the first win of his collegiate career between the pipes in the victory over the Garnet Chargers.

Springfield will face Endicott in Beverly, Mass. tonight at 6:00 pm.
