Marlborough, Mass. - April 6, 2026 - Springfield College softball senior Amelia DeRosa (Miller Place, N.Y.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Pitcher of the Week after a dominant performance in the circle last week.

DeRosa made a statement on Friday against Clark as she punched out 19 batters in a 4-1 win for the Pride. The 19 strikeouts marked the most by a pitcher in Division III this season and the third most in a seven inning game in Division III softball history. DeRosa went on to go 2-1 in the circle this week picking up conference wins over Clark and Wellesley and totaled 27 strikeouts in 21 innings for the Pride.

Springfield will host Keene State for a single game tomorrow at 3:00 pm on Potter Field.
