Marlborough, Mass. - April 6, 2026 - Springfield College women's lacrosse goalkeeper Cedar Conrad (Amherst, Mass.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week for her impressive performance between the pipes this past weekend.

Conrad came off the bench and recorded six second half saves to keep Springfield in the game against No. 17 Babson on Saturday. Her six saves – four of which came in the fourth quarter – single handedly prevented Babson from taking the lead over the Pride as Springfield went on to win 11-9, its first win over Babson in four seasons.

The Pride play host to Smith on Wednesday for a 6:00 pm game on Stagg Field.
