Springfield, Mass. – July 20, 2026 – The Springfield College women's soccer team and head coach
Kursten Shade has officially announced the program's 2026 schedule which is slated to get underway on September 2 against Western New England University at home at 6:00 pm.
FULL SCHEDULE
The Pride will play a 17-game schedule that includes 11 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contests and six non-conference games against teams from across the New England region. Four of Springfield's opponents reached the NCAA Tournament last fall including MIT, Amherst College, Wesleyan University (Conn.) and the University of Hartford with MIT and Amherst ending last fall with national rankings of eight and 22, respectively.
Springfield will open the 2026 slate with a pair of home games against crosstown rival Western New England on September 2 and the first tilt against the University of New England on September 4 since the 2022 campaign. Two of the next four contests feature NESCAC rivals Amherst (September 16) and Wesleyan (September 22) and Springfield will open NEWMAC play on September 19 at Babson. The Pride's final non-conference game will occur on September 29 at home against Endicott, the first meeting between the sides since 2021.
The final nine matches of the year are all NEWMAC contests with a rematch of the 2025 conference championship match occurring on October 10 at 1:00 pm against MIT on Brock-Affleck Field. Springfield will also take on WPI and Coast Guard on the road, in 2025 NEWMAC Tournament rematches.
Springfield will wrap up the regular season with a match at Clark University on October 31 before opening NEWMAC Tournament play on November 3. The NEWMAC Tournament will begin on Tuesday, November 3 and a champion will be crowned on Saturday, November 7. The higher seeded team will be named the host in each round and the winner of the NEWMAC title will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament.
