Kansas City, Mo. - August 26, 2026 - The Springfield College women's soccer team was recognized for its academic success as a recipient of the 2025-26 United Soccer Coaches Academic Team Award.
The Pride's grade point average of 3.63 ranked fifth in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) this year and was joined on the list by Babson, Coast Guard, MIT, Wellesley, Wheaton and WPI.
The United Soccer Coaches annually recognizes college and high school programs that have excelled both academically and athletically. Recipients of this award are for teams that have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. A total of 451 women's soccer teams posted a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year.
Springfield, which saw 13 student-athletes earn a spot on the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference team last fall, will open the 2026 season with a home game on Wednesday, September 2 at 6:00 pm against Western New England on Brock-Affleck Field.
