Springfield, Mass. – July 29, 2026 – The Springfield College women's lacrosse program has earned the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad Award for the 11th consecutive season.

The IWLCA has named 357 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2025-26 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.20 or higher team GPA for the academic year. Springfield was one of ten programs from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) to earn the academic award.

Individually, the IWLCA honored 1,350 student-athletes from 174 different institutions on the 2026 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Springfield's honorees included Elyse Altland (North Bennington, Vt.), Hailey Gaydos (Newington, Conn.), Izzy Lalancette (Feeding Hills, Mass.), Liz Neri (Farmington, Conn.), Sarah Newton (Colchester, Conn.), Kristyn Vasselin (Hudson, Mass.) and Lindsay Vogt (Westwood, N.J.).

Springfield capped its 2026 season with an overall record of 11-7 and a mark of 8-2 in NEWMAC play. Under the direction of head coach Jenn Thomas, the Pride once again made an appearance in the conference tournament semifinals.
