Exeter, N.H. – March 31, 2010Kyle Gable found the back of the net four times, but a five-goal deficit at the half proved to be too much to overcome as the Springfield College men’s lacrosse team dropped a 9-7 decision to Bowdoin at Exeter High School on Wednesday night.

The loss, Springfield’s third in a row, drops the Pride’s record to 2-4 through the first six games of the season. The Polar Bears improve to 3-4 this season with the win.

The Pride fell behind 4-2 after the opening period and Bowdoin scored three unanswered in the second quarter to take control of the game.

Kit Smith led Bowdoin with three goals and an assist while Steve Thomas tallied two goals.
