Springfield, Mass. – November 16, 2013 – The Springfield College men’s swimming and diving team hosted a tri-meet in the Art Linketter Natatorium on Saturday afternoon with Keene State and Wheaton. The Pride were edged by Wheaton 155-143, and were defeated by Keene State 212-88.
Michael Normoyle (Springfield, Mass.) led the way for the Pride, winning the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.44. Normoyle was the lone Springfield swimmer to find the winnerÂ's circle on the evening.
On the one-meter board, Jack Lewis (Durham, N.H.) won with a national qualifying score of 294.95, followed by Pat Smith (Niskayuna, N.Y.) at 268.50. Lewis claimed second on the three-meter board with a national qualifying mark of 285.95.
In the 1,000 free, Pat Geraghty (Holyoke, Mass.) touched second in 10:24.64, while Normoyle took second place points in the 200 breaststroke touching in 2:14.45.
