The Pride went on to score four unanswered goals to claim a commanding 8-3 margin. Boss, Lynch, Murphy, and Bryce Serriello each netted strikes to give the Pride a five-goal cushion. Doherty split WheatonÂ's gap in half with 23-seconds remaining in the third ripping an unassisted marker into the back of the net.

Senior Billy McNamara dished out a quick feed to Hillman from the right side of the cage for his second goal at 9:06 of the fourth quarter but Springfield did not allow the Lyons to get any closer. The Pride outscored the Blue and White, 4-3, in the fourth to keep their Pilgrim League record unblemished at 5-0.

Springfield outshot Wheaton, 40-30, while both teams went an identical 17-for-25 in clear attempts. The Lyons won the face-off matchup, 13-22, and picked up 46 ground balls.
