The loan run was scored in the top of the first inning by the Engineers.  Jasmin Joseph (Woodland Hills, Calif.) blooped an infield single to the shortstop to get things going for MIT, and after stealing second, Amanda Lee (Saratoga, Calif.) worked her way on base by way of a walk.  Tori Jensen (Holliston, Mass.) stepped up with one out and delivered a double into right field, which advanced Lee to third and allowed Joseph to cross the plate.

The Pride threatened in the bottom part of the third after sophomore Alicia Pavadore (Taunton, Mass.) singled up the middle.  Junior Brielle Engelbrecht (Granby, Mass.) laid down a successful bunt, to put runners on first and second with one out, but the next two batters would be retired.

Jensen led the way for the Engineers with one hit and a run batted in.
