Wellesley, Mass. - October 29, 2022 - The Springfield College field hockey team delivered a pair of fourth-quarter goals to rally past Wellesley, 2-1 in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play on Saturday as it closed out the regular season.

Wellesley finished the contest with a 12-8 advantage in shots, while the Pride had a 5-4 edge in penalty corners.  Remy Niland (Marshfield, Mass.) was credited with six saves, including five in the opening 30 minutes of play en route to the victory.

After a scoreless first half, Wellesley would produce the first goal of the game just over three minutes into the third quarter when Alex Lenart finished off a feed from Ceci Miller.  The Pride would even up the game in the 47th minute as Grace Levansavich (Auburn, Mass.) connected with Audrey Dolan (Westminster, Mass.).  Just over six minutes later, Springfield was awarded a penalty stroke, which Emma McLaughlin (Norwalk, Conn.) would slot home for what would prove to be the game-winning strike.
