Mike Anderson (Cromwell, Conn.) and junior
Joe Wong (Salem, Mass.) both posted new school record times in their respective events at today's Farley Inter-Regional on the campus of Williams College.
Anderson placed first in the 110-meter hurdles with a record breaking time of 14.54-seconds, breaking the record of Jeff McCray (14.64-seconds) from the 1975 season, while Wong posted a tenth place finish in the 800-meter run with a record breaking time of 1:51.83 surpassing Jack Pinho's mark of 1:52.48 from the 2017 campaign.
Anderson recorded a time of 57.07-seconds in the 400-meter hurdles. Rounding out the highlights on the track for the Pride today were
Seth Regan (Killingworth, Conn.), who placed fifth in the 100-meter dash in 10.91-seconds,
Anik Dole (Dubai, UAE), who placed eighth in the 200-meter dash in 21.89-seconds and
Adam Mula (West Townsend, Mass.), who placed 19th in the 1,500-meter run in 3:58.50.
In the field events,
Daniel Hyde (Monroe, Conn.) placed fifth in the high jump clearing 1.88-meters (6 feet, 2 inches),
Alex McKenney (Ossining, N.Y.) placed fifth in the pole vault clearing 4.03-meters (13 feet, 2.75 inches),
Travis Brown (Hartford, Conn.) placed sixth in the javelin with a best throw of 49.24-meters (161 feet, 7 inches),
Jamil Manu (Manchester, Conn.) placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 6.55-meters (21 feet, 5.75 inches) and
Daniel McGlashan (Haverhill, Mass.) placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.88-meters (42 feet, 3 inches).
Springfield will have its final chances to qualify for the NCAA Championships next week at MIT, Swarthmore and Cortland.
