Springfield, Mass. – February 22, 2026 – In its final regular season meet of the indoor campaign, the Springfield College men's track and field team hosted the Triangle Classic inside the Springfield College Field House alongside some of the top teams in the region.
Springfield produced wins in three different events on Saturday as
Shane Erb (Marion, Iowa) crossed the line first in the 3,000-meter run in 8:44.75 and
Daniel Hyde (Monroe, Conn.) cleared 1.92-meters in the high jump. Springfield's distance medley relay comprised of
Slade Harding (Malden, Mass.),
Mathieu Soucy (Orange, Mass.),
Jeremiah Singer (Barnstable, Mass.) and
Ty Sanges (Gloversville, N.Y.) also notched a win in 11:07.25.
In the sprints,
Parker Ruger (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) finished second in the 400-meter dash in 50.46, while
Luca Kabel (Merrimack, N.H.) finished sixth in the 60-meter dash in 7.04. Harding also took fifth in the mile in 4:28.37.
Mike Anderson (Cromwell, Conn.) recorded a fourth place finish in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.40 and was closely followed in sixth by
Ben Cachuguango (Amherst, Mass.) in 8.63 to round out the highlights on the track for the Pride.
Springfield finished 2-3 in the triple jump as
Daniel McGlashan (Haverhill, Mass.) leapt 13.81-meters and Martin Krasco leapt 13.63-meters in the event.
Martin Nyagilo (Randolph, Mass.) was the runner up in the shot put with a mark of 14.31-meters and was followed by
Peyton Blanchard (Kennebunk, Maine) and
Bryce Ray (Dayton, Maine) in sixth (13.58-meters).
Charles Botelho (Middleboro, Mass.) and Blanchard finished fourth and sixth, respectively, in the weight throw to close the meet with marks of 16.01-meters and 15.18-meters.
