Springfield, Mass. – August 5, 2026 – The Springfield College men's track and field team had six student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's Cross Country/Track and Field Team.
This year's honorees included seniors
Daniel McGlashan (Haverhill, Mass.) and
Tyler Fabbri (Andover, Mass.), juniors
Colin Hansen (Ipswich, Mass.) and
Isaiah Hannah (Ballston Spa, N.Y.), sophomore
Seth Twarog (Hubbardston, Mass.) and graduate student
Shane Erb (Marion, Iowa).
All six were first time recipients of the award as the Academic All-District® Men's Cross Country/Track and Field Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
McGlashan, an exercise science major with a 3.97 grade point average, made his debut on the national stage during his senior season as he placed 19th in the triple jump at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He ended the year as a USTFCCCA All-Region honoree in the triple jump during both in the indoor and outdoor seasons and took home Second Team All-Conference accolades at the 2026 NEWMAC Championships. During the indoor season, McGlashan was regionally ranked third in the triple jump (14.32m), 33rd in the high jump (1.77m) and 48th in the long jump (6.10m), while during the outdoor season he was regionally ranked second in the triple jump (14.65m), 14th in the high jump (1.85m) and 42nd in the long jump (6.23m).
Fabbri, a sport management major with a 3.87 grade point average, completed his senior campaign as a USTFCCCA All-Region honoree in the 4x400-meter relay and ended the outdoor season ranked 46th regionally in the 400-meter dash (50.98).
Hansen, a sport management major with a 3.58 grade point average, had a breakout junior campaign qualifying for the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships in both the 400-meter dash where he finished 14th in 48.52-seconds and the 4x400-meter relay where the quartet finished ninth in 3:16.41. He was crowned NEWMAC Champion in both events and claimed both indoor and outdoor all-region accolades from the USTFCCCA during the indoor and outdoor seasons in both events. During the indoor season, Hansen ranked second regionally in the 400-meter dash (47.98) and 19th in the 200-meter dash (22.25) and during the outdoor season he ranked fifth regionally in the 400-meter dash (47.99) and tenth in the 200-meter dash (21.65).
Hannah, a criminal justice major with a 3.81 grade point average, claimed all-region honors in the 60-meter dash during the indoor season ultimately finished eighth in the rankings in the event with a time of 8.49-seconds.
Twarog, a finance major with a 4.00 grade point average, was part of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished ninth in the country at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships alongside Hansen. Twarog claimed All-Region accolades as well in the 400-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay during the indoor season. According to the USTFCCCA rankings, Twarog also had the top time in the 4x400-meter relay (3:13.85), the seventh fastest time in the 400-meter dash (49.06) and the 35th fastest time in the 200-meter dash (22.55) during the indoor season.
Erb, a sport and exercise psychology major with a 3.95 grade point average, had a stellar season for the Pride on the track as he claimed Second Team All-Conference honors and USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase during the outdoor campaign. He was also honored with All-Region accolades in the 5,000-meter run during the indoor season. During the indoor season he ranked seventh regionally in the 5,000-meter run (14:43.48), 24th in the mile (4:17.20) and 40th in the 3,000-meter run (8:38.72), while during the outdoor season he was the top-23 in the region in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (sixth – 9:15.40), the 5,000-meter run (17th – 14:45.04) and the 1,500-meter run (23rd – 3:56.37).
